This course will provide background and hands on training on developing, fine-tuning, and running successful simulation education scenarios. Discussion on simulation in healthcare education, appropriate scenario creation, running a scenario, rescuing a failing scenario, and appropriate debriefing will be discussed. We will make use of hands on training from experienced simulation educators and the onsite use of two Laerdal 3G SimMans.
This course would be useful for the emergency care practioner (physician, advanced practice provider, EMS) who has an interest or role in educating others in emergency medical care.
