Advanced EKG Interpretation Workshop

The ability to interpret the electrocardiogram is a life-saving skill, but residency training only teaches the basics. Drs. Mattu, Brady, and Williams will teach you an assortment of ECG pearls that will take your ability to interpret ECGs to the next level, and he will also teach some of the common pitfalls that can lead to disastrous outcomes. Regardless of your abilities, you're sure to learn some new and useful information that will truly make a difference in your patient care!

At the conclusion of this presentation, each participant should be able to…

  1. Describe three subtle ECG findings in the ACS patient which predict an increased risk of morbidity and mortality.
  2. Distinguish between the various types of AV block as well as a common benign mimic of AV block.
  3. Identify ECG abnormalities in patients with syncope which predict sudden death.
